The Pawsome Story: Lives Over Shelf Life
We believe that our dogs' lives are more important than shelf life.
When Pawsome Gourmet first launched in Phoenix back in 2022, it all started with a simple kitchen routine. We were cooking homemade meals and treats for our own dogs, driven by one core philosophy: if it wasn't something we would eat, why would we expect them to? We began baking with human-grade ingredients, completely ditching artificial preservatives, and Pawsome Gourmet was born.
Our beloved Husky/Collie mix, Odi, was the face, mascot, and ultimate taste-tester of the brand. Alongside him was Tank, my mom's Great Dane, who became a gentle giant in our marketing and living proof of our all-natural mission. We grew organically from the ground up, building the incredible Pawsome Pack—a loyal community of customers whose dogs went absolutely crazy for our treats. As our ovens stayed busy, we expanded our product line, invented new recipes, and even ventured into crafting treats for the cats in our lives. We loved every second of it, and our dogs did too.
But as it does for everyone, life eventually got in the way. We made the tough decision to move across the state, silently letting Pawsome Gourmet go as we navigated a new chapter. A year after leaving Phoenix, we suffered a devastating loss when Odi passed away in a tragic accident. He is no longer physically with us, but his spirit and legacy will forever remain the true face of this brand.
Two years later, life brought a beautiful new light into our world when my wife and I welcomed our first child, a baby girl we affectionately call our Lucky 8. Eight months after her birth, we realized it was time to dust off the aprons. We decided to bring Pawsome Gourmet back to life—starting from the ground up all over again—so we could share the joy and success of this business with her.
Today, our ovens are roaring once again. Our three new dogs—Ollie, Kilo, and Milo—are incredibly excited to pick up exactly where Odi left off, eager to taste-test every new batch. And Tank? At 9 years old, he is certainly feeling his age for a Great Dane, but thanks to the all-natural lifestyle we are so proud to share, he still gets the zoomies like a 3-year-old.
We are incredibly excited to get back to baking, to reconnect with the original Pawsome Pack, and to watch our new community grow. We can't wait to share what we do with your furry friends all over again.
